Paul and Karissa recently helped guide us in obtaining a mortgage for the purchase of our new home. I can’t praise them enough for their attention and counsel in this process. Our home purchase had a very short time to close and Paul provided great insight and was able to secure a mortgage product that none of his competitors were able to obtain. He was always available to talk through things and made my life incredibly easier and less stressful by knowing he was on the case. As an example, with interest rates bouncing around, he made a quick judgement and was able to lock in an even lower rate right before we were going to close.
Karissa was an absolute star. She made the whole documentation process go incredibly smooth. She kept in contact with our lawyer and realtor to make sure everything proceeded on time and without mistakes. She would check in with us to keep us apprised of how things were proceeding with the bank and assured us that we were on track for our quick closing. Our lawyer, who had not worked with Westport Mortgage before, commented that of the hundreds of closings he had worked on, this was the smoothest closing he had ever witnessed. Bill was referred to us by family members and when we moved back to Connecticut we contacted him to help us get a mortgage. We had a few issues that occurred with our previous home and the sale of the property that forced us to wait to get a mortgage. Bill stayed on top of things and was ready to help us as soon as we were clear.
